Dr Arnaud Ponçon is co-founder of the ANAGEN center. He treats patients with alopecia using a structured medical approach based on analysis, planning, and long-term follow-up.

His work is part of a comprehensive approach to treating baldness, integrating both hair transplantation and an understanding of how hair loss progresses.

Education and academic activity

Dr Arnaud Ponçon completed university training focused on the management of baldness and associated medical techniques:

  • D.I.U. Baldness Treatment – Lyon 1 Claude Bernard University
  • D.I.U. Medical Lasers – Paris-Descartes Faculty of Medicine
  • D.I.U. Morphological and Anti-Aging Medicine – Paris-Descartes Faculty of Medicine

He also contributes to teaching within the University Diploma in baldness treatment at the Lyon Faculty of Medicine (Croix-Rousse campus), notably on FUE hair transplant techniques.

Hair transplant practice

Dr Arnaud Ponçon performs hair transplants using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique. Procedures are carried out taking several parameters into account: density, donor area quality, implantation, and the likely progression of baldness.

Particular attention is paid to:

  • graft distribution
  • preserving the donor area
  • the consistency of the result over time

Working as a duo

At ANAGEN, Dr Arnaud Ponçon works in collaboration with Dr Maroua Gmati.

Indications and treatment plans are discussed jointly to provide care tailored to each patient. This way of working makes it possible to have a complementary perspective on each case.

Follow-up and care

Care does not stop at the procedure. It includes:

  • an initial consultation with scalp analysis
  • defining the hair restoration plan
  • providing a post-operative kit dedicated to the first days after the transplant
  • medical follow-up provided directly by the doctors
  • five follow-up consultations after the procedure

The goal is to ensure long-term treatment, with a progressive approach tailored to the evolution of hair loss.
